Cultures

Four countries were chosen to display the diversity of Latin American life, culture and geography. From the US/Mexican border in North America, through Central and South America, to Antarctica and the South Pole, Latin America is full of contrasts and surprises!

BiLingo Kidz™ presents contemporary stories of four typical children (two boys and two girls of different ages): one from urban El Salvador; one from rural Colombia; one from central Mexico; and one from mountainous Chile.

María Ester is a 10 year old from San Salvador, El Salvador.  She is in 4th grade.  In the afternoons she swims with the National Synchronized Swim Team.  Her family enjoys going to the beach.

Juan Pablo is an 8 year old fanatical soccer player.  He is from a rural area in Colombia living on a hacienda.  He lives with a large extended family.

Diego is a 14 year old from Guanajuato, Mexico.  Diego wants to be a biologist as he is interested in the environment.  He also is a folk dancer and soccer player.

Teresa is a 12 year old girl from Chile.  She lives in the foothills of the Andes Mountains.  She enjoys horseback riding and skiing with her family and at school she plays volleyball.
