BiLingo Kidz is a software program designed to teach a beginning amount of Spanish and culture to ages 7-14 and the kid in each of us.  It is a wholesome program that can be used my children in their homes or  as a launching point for new elementary Spanish program.

BiLingo Kidz teaches not only  a beginning amount of Spanish but discussion of culture in Latin America!.  Classroom use allows a teacher to guide progress, provide feedback, and encourage linguistic creation and social interaction throughout the units.  BiLingo Kidz can be projected on a screen to a class or used individually on computers in a lab setting.

Unique components of BiLingo Kidz:

• Teaches authentic culture through stories about kids in Latin America

• Uses 5 native speakers so children can mimic and understand native speech

• Original watercolors painted from over 6,000 photos taken in Latin America

• Written and audio question activities reinforce the natural language acquisition process.

• Comprehensible repetition promotes student confidence to speak naturally

• Uses adapted ASL to introduce vocabulary and engage students in the learning process

• Teaches over 200 words in Spanish providing a foundation for further study

• Teaches to multiple senses and learning styles

• Serves as a springboard for interdisciplinary research in English about the cultures in Latin America

The lives and cultures of four Latin American children are told through a series of short, four-part stories, illustrated by authentic watercolor paintings and photographs.

Vocabulary includes places, objects, foods and clothing.

Specially adapted Sign Language
promotes multiple-sense learning.

Stories are spoken in Spanish by native speakers. Kids can read and listen many times until they can say the stories themselves.

Fun games help kids to increase vocabulary and boost confidence until they can tell their own stories!
